SHORTEN URLS WHILE RECONCILING SECURITY AND RESPECT FOR PRIVACY

Luxembourg researchers, teachers, employees and students whose institution is connected to the RESTENA network have benefited since January 2023 from a secure and privacy-friendly URL shortener. This new tool offered by Restena completes the range of services available to people owning a RESTENA user account (mainly teachers with an @education.lu email) and to employees and students benefiting from large file sharing (FileSender) via the eduID Luxembourg authentication and access authorisation service. THE DIRECTOR OF RESTENA ELECTED CHAIR OF THE GÉANT BOARD

Gilles Massen, director of Restena, is taking over the presidency of the Board of Directors of the European association GÉANT. This appointment emphasises Luxembourg's presence at the heart of the association federating National Research and Education Networks (NREN) at the European level, within which Restena has been active since the beginning. A TIP SHEET ON DISPUTES AND DOMAIN NAMES

In its role as .lu registry, Restena is expanding its range of tip sheets to promote good practice around the Domain Name System (DNS). The first publication raises awareness of domain name disputes for those who own or wish to own a .lu. Read more
