30 YEARS OF HISTORY FOR RESTENA'S 20TH ANNIVERSARY

2020 marks the 20th anniversary of the Restena Foundation, the result of the RESTENA research project launched in 1989 by the Ministry of Education. On this occasion, the Restena Foundation retraced its history, which, beyond Luxembourg research and education, played a central role in the emergence of the internet in Luxembourg. The key stages in the development of the Restena Foundation, the evolution of the research and education networks in Luxembourg and Europe as well as the internet are to be discovered in the publication "RESTENA: the story of an infrastructure", available on request. .LU IS GROWING WITH SHORT NAMES

Tuesday 15 December 2020 is the culmination of the progressive opening of .lu domain names with one and two characters launched at the end of August 2020. Existing registration limits are abolished, thus expanding the range of possibilities for communicating with the Luxembourg .lu extension. Read more
