EDUROAM LUXEMBOURG FURTHER EXPANDS
In 2025, new eduroam hotspots will be activated across Luxembourg with the arrival of CFL, the national railway company, as the eduroam service provider. eduroam will gradually be available via WiFi terminals in CFL’s railway stations, railway stops and buses. These new locations are in addition to those at participating research and education institutions, Luxembourg Airport and the HotCity WiFi network in Luxembourg City and Esch-sur-Alzette. At the same time, the eduroam.lu website, specifically dedicated to the eduroam Luxembourg service, was updated in early 2025. Read more
INTENSIFYING THE PROTECTION OF YOUR IT NETWORK
Since January 2025, members of Luxembourg's research and education community have been benefitting from a pre-configured and customisable DNS firewall. With this tool, they can protect their computer network from IT threats caused by the individual activities of their users thanks to differentiated filtering and the blocking of problematic content. THE FUTURE SECURITY EVENT MANAGEMENT PLATFORM IS TAKING SHAPE
At the end of the first third of the roadmap, followed by the European LuCySe4RE project, the project team collected and identified the first needs, released a sketch of security event management infrastructure, and engaged in cybersecurity awareness-raising activities. Read more
