COVID-19 : THE IMPACT OF CORONAVIRUS LOCKDOWN

During the COVID-19 health crisis, the Restena Foundation guaranteed its network infrastructure and ensured the continuity of its services, which had to be slightly adapted. It also supported its community impacted by the migration of the TCS certificate management system and hosted the schouldoheem.lu platform. At the same time, e-mail servers and e-mail traffic experienced an increase in connections while eduroam national roaming experienced a drastic drop. Finally, a spam campaign exploiting COVID-19 was reported and the registration of .lu domain names remained stable. Read more

A TEN-FOLD INCREASE IN THE CONNECTIVITY FOR RESEARCH AND EDUCATION

Late 2019, the Luxembourg national research and education network’s connectivity expanded from 10 to 100 Gigabits per second. New perspectives now open up for research and education in Luxembourg, especially for stakeholders processing enormous amounts of data. Read more

SECTIGO, NEW TCS CERTIFICATE PROVIDER

Since 1 May 2020, the certification authority Sectigo has been issuing TCS certificates for the European and therefore Luxembourg research and education community. Sectigo now accompanies the community until 2030 thanks to a contract signed with the European association GÉANT. Read more

MODERNIZATION OF THE RESTENA FOUNDATION’S IDENTITY AND WEBSITE

At the dawn of its 20th anniversary, the Restena Foundation has updated both its visual identity and website. Thanks to a refreshed identity and a redesigned and modernized website, compatible with tablets and smartphones, the Restena Foundation - also know as Restena - has a new look. Read more
